Regarding Cookies and Data Privacy:

 

We use cookies purely as a way to ensure you have a more streamlined experience on our site.  Any information collected is yours and we make no claims to it.  And we would never sell it because we put a higher premium on your trust and continued patronage.  You have the option to accept or reject the use of cookies upon first visiting our site.  If you wish to change your decision, you will have to clear the cache for this site, refresh the homepage, and choose your preferred option.  Your preference in no way affects transactions made on our site.  All transactional information involving bank/card numbers is processed through Paypal and not on our site and therefore is not stored in cookies.

 

Regarding Common Store Items:

You will not find traditional retail items on our site.  While we often list unopened items that were once sold in retail stores, all items will have been off the shelves for many years and are moreso sought after as collectible items at the time of their listing.  As collectors ourselves, we prefer working with items of this sort - collectibles - but as consigners, we may be asked to list other things - all just depends on what comes our way.  No matter the item, we always make certain to treat it like a collectible and handle it with the utmost care, from intake to shipping out.  

The Use of AI:

We use AI as a means of ensuring we haven't missed any keywords that would help the listing pop up in various searches and for expediency's sake.  We do our best to check these descriptions, but we may miss a detail or two that AI got wrong.  The titles and pics are always the best indicators of the items being listed.  It is ultimately up to the buyer to conduct due diligence, including reaching out to us when there is contradictory/confusing information in a given listing prior to buying the listing's respective item.

Regarding Pricing:

Our pricing philosophy is centered on getting fair market value for items, especially items of a collectible nature. If you can find the same item for a lower price, that's great, because we want you to be happ one way or another.  At the end of the day, our items, especially collectibles, will be accurately valuated according to various online outlets, so when they sell, you can treat the price as a guarantee of FMV.  When we've overshot FMV, we'll bring the price down with discounts.  When we've undershot . . . well, that's us "passing the savings on to you."  ;)  We are currently located in Florida and charge Florida residents the state's mandatory sales tax of 6% on all items over $1.  The store automaically presents prices based on your location - with the sales tax for Florida residents and without sales tax for non-Florida residents.  Either way, shipping is an additional charge on most items.

 

Regarding Purchasing Process:

 

We believe PayPal is the ideal method for purchasing items as it covers all other possible methods and offers protection for both the buyer and the seller.  No, we will not conduct a transaction through any other methods, especially not outside of this website.  The initial part of the purchasing process happens right there in the store section of our website - no page navigations or popups - until you click on the PayPal icon when choosing the payment method.  At that point, you will be redirected to PayPal's secure payment page.  You'll notice, the "merchant email" at the top of the form is "me@damianniolet.me."  That is because Damian Niolet has yet to officially incporate choose happ and he is using is personal account.  This will change in due time to an official choose happ email and merchant ID #.  Either way, once completed, PayPal will direct you to a web receipt as well as send you a receipt via email.  We will also send you an itemized receipt (and perhaps a dsicount code for future purchases).  There will be a button at the bottom of the web receipt to return to choose happ, which we hope you do!

 

Regarding Shipping:

 

Keeping in mind this store is owned and operated by individuals and not an actual chain store, shipping costs are such that not all items will have free shipping. Every attempt is made to keep shipping too a minimum, such as offering "Media Mail" as an option, but methods that include insurance will be preferred for higher dollar items, which comes at a premium, depending on the carrier. We will always combine shipping on orders of similar items (items that can be packed together safely). You are always welcome to contact us to request other shipping options. Please note, we will not ship outside of the US at this time.

 

Regarding Warranties:

 

No warranties are made on the items as they are all aftermarket, second-hand sales.  If there are defects with the item(s), your only option is to contact the original manufacturer and seek guidance.

 

Regarding Returns:

 

Every effort is made to be transparent and honest with the item descriptions, while still being expedient, so more in-demand items can be listed. It is up to the buyer to seek additional information, including up-close pictures, particularly of high-dollar items. As such, returns are not accepted, except in extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

Regarding any other issues and feedback:

We would appreciate the opportunity to correct any issues you have with your order.  Please contact us before leaving negative feedback on Google or anywhere else. If you do leave negative feedback without first contacting us, be prepared to be "put on blast," because at the end of the day, again, we're human, not a chain store, and we don't have to put up with nonsense. That being said, chances are you'll have a great experience buying from us and we would greatly appreciate it if you would take the time to write positive feedback on Google or elsehwere.

The "choose happ" sign:

Just because it's featured in many of our listings does not mean our "choose happ" sign is ever a part of any listing. When you buy an item(s), you are buying the item(s) mentioned in the title and description. The sign appearing in images is just for brand awareness purposes.  So, no, you cannot have it.
